I am alive!!!

Approx. reading time: 4 minutes

hey there... yep, i am alive (shukar) and well, but its been one hectic month...

Firstly, both the uncles that i mentioned were ill, in my previous post, have passed away, and as strange as it may sound, on the same day, so the funerals were at 11am , and just as my mum and dad got home in the afternoon, we got a call that my mum's brother passed away, and the family had to get ready and leave for the second funeral which was at 11pm, two hours away from Johannesburg... May Allah Grant them both jannah...

Everything else has been going really slowly, being around to local conferences and workshops, trying to fill my time productively since my experiments have STILL not worked, but, now, i have given up for the year, and i am on leave from tuesday next week, and will only return to campus on the 8th of Jan.

Bad luck struck again.. I was in a car accident last friday, on that Damn hill again... this woman lost control of her car, and as i was going up, she came zooming down the hill, into me... the entire right side of my car was damaged, and i had serious whiplash and back pains.. which has now subsided.. but my car will probably be written off according to the insurance guys... so, will have to look for another car after the holidays :( :(

Wasn't really intending on going away, but my family decided at the last minute, to go to Durban,(Umhlanga) so will be heading to the coast on wednesday next week... so, i wont be posting for a while.. unless its some cool pics of the beach...lol

so, adios, for the next 2/3 weeks.. hope that everyone has a nice summer break, and May Allah take you safely wherever you and your families are headed...

umhlanga - over rated. i pity the gated communities of our country. i also pity our soccer team but i'l leave that for another comment. when in dbn, please be sure to try bombay to beiruts steak sizzler - although the quality has slackened off late
